Procedure
Before the procedure, the permanent make-up artist will listen to your expectations, assess your natural lips shape, colour, skin type and draw a sketch of your future lips. This will give you an idea of what the result will look like after the procedure, even before you start the contouring make-up. If the image you see does not meet your expectations, the sketch will be adjusted until we find the right option for you and you will have no complaints about the future look. We will then select the pigment colour based on your wishes and the totality of your natural facial features.
If you wish, it can be identical to your favourite lip liner or lipstick.
Before the lips micropigmentation procedure, a local anaesthetic is performed. Anaesthetics are also used during the procedure, so you won’t feel any pain – just a little discomfort or a mild tickling sensation is possible. The procedure takes 1-2 hours, depending on the technique chosen and the desired result.
During the procedure, the needles of a special device are used to precisely and evenly inject the pigmented dye into the epidermal layer of the epidermis at a distance of 0,3 to 0,8 mm.
Post-procedural period
The healing and recovery period after the micropigmentation procedure lasts up to 4 weeks. The healing process increases with age. After the procedure, the skin tissues swell slightly, but the swelling disappears within 2-4 hours. For the first two days, the colour of the lips is brighter due to the leakage of lymph. On the third day, the lips start to feel scratchy, dry and itchy. To reduce discomfort, it is recommended to moisturise the lips 1-4 times a day with a prescribed ointment. On day 5-7, the chafing disappears and the lips have a lighter, more natural shade. The colour develops and the final result can be seen after 3-4 weeks.

How long will the result be visible?
The length of time it takes to see the results of a micropigmentation procedure depends on the materials used, the shade and intensity of the pigment, the technique used, individual skin characteristics and lifestyle – exposure to the sun, use of cosmetic products, etc. The results can normally be enjoyed for 1.5-2 years, after which a repeat procedure can be performed.
To preserve the intensity of the colour for as long as possible, it is essential to use UV protection (SPF50 is recommended) when outdoors.
